Choosing a relationship
with Christ and never
looking back.
I came to know my need for a Savior at the age of 21. Having been raised in a faith family which included a home, a church, a Christian education, and even two years of Bible college, I knew what I needed to know in order to have a genuine relationship with God through Jesus. Unfortunately, I chose myself for 21 years. On November 11, 1996 I trusted in Christ as my Lord. From that point till now I have been in some form of ministry.
Though difficult at times, I have strived to be obedient to Gods leading in my life and He continues to bless my ministry and life in so many ways. My wife Rachel and I were married in 2002 and have four children. We currently live in Rockford, Ohio where I am a discipleship pastor at Praise Point Church and operate the ministry of Take A Stand Outdoors.
At the foundation of our Ministry are
4 Core Statements.
We believe in the only true God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost; that this triune God created the heavens and the earth and all that in them is, visible as well as invisible, and furthermore sustains, governs, protects, and supports the same.
2. Jesus Christ, the Son
We believe in Jesus Christ; that He is very God and man; that He born of the virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit; that He is the Savior and Mediator of the whole human race, if they with full faith in Him accept the grace offered in Jesus; that Jesus, being obedient to God the Father, suffered and died on the cross for us, was buried, arose again on the third day, ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of God to intercede for us; and that He shall come again.
3. The Holy Spirit, Comforter and Guide
We believe in the Holy Spirit; that He is equal in being with the Father and the Son, and that He comforts the faithful, and guides them into all truth.
4. The Bible and Salvation
We believe that the Bible, Old and New Testaments, is the Word of God; that it contains the only true way to our salvation; that every true Christian is bound to acknowledge and receive it with the influence of the Spirit of God as the only rule and guide; and that without faith in Jesus Christ, true repentance, forgiveness of sins, and following after Christ, no one can be a true Christian.
